Sheringham Signs Up

Young striker Charlie Sheringham has committed the next year of his young career by signing a one year contract at Portman road.

The 17-year-old striker whose father is none-other than West Ham’s Teddy Sheringham was released by the Spurs academy last year was given a contract six months to impress the Town academy staff before being award a 12 month contract.

 

Charlie: “That was my aim when I came here and I'm thrilled to be staying, I love it at Ipswich. Everyone has made me welcome from day one and helped me settle in and now I've got some great friends as well as a chance to make a career in the game.

 

“Being a professional footballer is what I want to do and Ipswich have given me the platform to go out and do that. It's up to me now to take that opportunity.”
