DS Confirms Bids

Ipswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks has confirmed reports suggesting Town and Sunderland are in talks about a bid for Kelvin Davis.
Reports on the internet on Friday night were suggesting Town and Sunderland were in the progress of agreeing a fee some where in the region of £700,000 for Davis and that was followed up with reports of a £1million+ bid being accepted, Sheepshanks has confirmed talks being held between Town and Sunderland but has not confirmed any amounts or if there has been firm bids.

It was reported here on STB and many other websites that MK Dons would get 50% of the transfer fee it has emerged that is not true although the Dons do still get a cut of the transfer fee.
Also possibly going to Sunderland are midfielder Tommy Miller and striker Darren Bent, Mr Sheepshanks also confirmed Town have rejected offers for striker Darren Bent, adding: “We are aware of interest from more than one club and we have had offers for Darren, but as yet nothing has been accepted.”
If Bent is sold 34-year-old striker Ashley Ward has emerged as the front runner to replace him.
