Parkin Aiming For Goals

Ipswich Town striker Sam Parkin is hoping to finish top goal scorer at Portman Road this season and win over the Town faithful.

Parkin has found the net twice for Town so far this season and he wants more than that so he can finish Town’s top scorer this season.  

 

Parkin: “I'm an honest, hard-working player and for me this year is all about showing the manager here, the players here, the fans here that I'm capable of playing in Ipswich's first-team week in, week out, I would like to finish top scorer though. I did that at Swindon for three years and I would like to do it here as well.

 

“I'm not setting myself any targets but if I can get anywhere near the 20 mark come May then I will be delighted. If I achieve that then I'm sure the fans will take to me."

 

“My two goals have come away from home and it would be nice to show the home fans want I can do in front of goal, I scored a lot of goals for Swindon over the last three years and everything went so well for me. The goals flowed.

 

“At Ipswich I'm an unknown but I think if everyone is patient with the side then me and Nicky Forster will score goals for this Club.”
