On-loan striker Adam Proudlock says he wants to repay Town manager Joe Royle by becoming a favourite with fans at Portman Road.

The 24-year-old is on-loan from Sheffield Wednesday until January when Town are expected to sign him permanently from Wednesday.

Adam: “I was obviously down after the sacking but then I got a call from Joe offering me a chance of a trial at Ipswich and I couldn't wait to get down here, there were one or two clubs that contacted me but once the Ipswich offer of a trial came in there was nothing more to think about.

“I'm really thankful to Joe and the Club for giving me a chance to get my career going again and I intend to grab it with both hands.

“What happened at Wednesday has really given me a kick up the backside. It was a real shock but it might turn out to have done me some good in the long run.

“In the two weeks I was out of the game I really missed it but now Ipswich have given me this chance and I want to make the most of it.

“Looking around the place, it's a fantastic club with terrific supporters and I'm looking at it as a fresh start for me and an exciting one.”
