Naylor Eyes Play-Offs

Ipswich Town utility player Richard Naylor believes Town can still make the play-offs, despite a recent poor run.

Town have lost 9 games from 22 so far this season, but Naylor has pointed out that West Ham lost 15 games on-route to gaining promotion last season.

 

Naylor: “West Ham showed last year that you can lose 15 games in a season and still go up.

 

“That gives us a lot of hope and highlights the fact there's still plenty of time to make a late run into the top six.

“Who knows? That could even prove more advantageous than ending the regular season in third place - as we've found out to our cost on a number of painful occasions.”

 

Crystal Palace also lost 15 times on the way to promotion in the 2003-2004 season, they drew 10, while West Ham also drew ten times on the way to promotion.
