No Appeal

Ipswich Town are unable to appeal against Ricardo Fuller’s red card because of the nature of the offence.

Fuller made a V sign towards part of the Selhurst Park crowd during Town’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend, but the referees assistant believed the gesture was towards him and got Fuller sent off.

Town manager Joe Royle: “We have spoken to the Football Association and there is no right of appeal, whether the gesture was aimed at the crowd or the linesman, it carries a one match ban and because he was suspended for five yellow cards thanks to the dramatics of Joey Gudjonsson against Leicester then that doubles up to two games.”
