Town Approach Calderwood

Town have been given permission by Northampton Town to speak to their manager Colin Calderwood.

Calderwood lead the Cobblers to promotion from league two last season and he has been linked with several jobs.

 

Northampton Chairman David Cardoza: “It is inevitable, given the number of managerial vacancies there currently are, that clubs will be showing an interest in Colin.

 

“I can confirm that Ipswich Town have made contact through the correct channels and, as per his contract, Colin has been given permission to talk to them. I expect the matter to be resolved very quickly so we can continue building and planning for our assault on League One.

 

“We will not enter in to any speculation. We will deal simply with factual information and we will update our supporters as soon as there is anything else to say.”

 

Graham Rix has also reportedly appiled for the Town job.
