New Stand for Whitby Town Football Club

Whitby apply their trade in Unionbond Premier League, which is only two leagues away from Nationwide League Division 3.

Whitby raised the cash for a new stand after being very successful in the Football Association Cup, after seeing off Ramsbottom United, Spennymoor United, Scarborough and Yorkshire rivals Stocksbridge Park Steels they faced Division 3 Champions Plymouth Arygle at home, they drew 1-1 in a thrilling game and forcing a game at Home Park. Although the North Yorkshire side lost 3-2 in the replay they still had something to be proud of.

In all the cup glory Whitby Town FC won £100,000 which does not include gate receipts.

This summer editor of Ground Hopper will be going to Whitby for his summer holiday and will try and get to a friendly if possible so watch this space as their will be a review of Turnbull.
