AFC Wimbledon, the club formed by supporters outraged by the plans to move to Milton Keynes, are pondering a move to football ground, Plough Lane.
Fans of the new club, who attracted a crowed of 4,652 to their first friendly against Sutton United this month, hope to buy the land from Safeway.
AFC spokesman Kris Stewart said "There are no real obstacles, we will launch a campaign to raise funds."
Plough Lane was last used more than ten years ago when Wimbledon Football Club moved to Selhurst Park (home of Crystal Palace FC) due to financial difficulties.
