Wilson misses out on manager of the month

Danny Wilson missed out on the manager of the month award despite Hartlepool having the best form throughout December. The award went to Paul Ince of Macclesfield

Danny Wilson has missed out on winning the manager of the month award despite winning every game and conceding no goals.

The award went to Macclesfield manager Paul Ince. In December Macclesfields won 5 and drew 1. This is a very impressive record but the manager of the month award is usually for the team who performed best.

However it could benefit Pools not getting the award - if you believe in the manager of the month curse.

Most people would have been bitter after missing out on the award despite having a perfect record but Danny Wilson was gracious in deafeat saying,
"It's a magnificent achievement for Paul and he thoroughly deserved it,"

Macclesfield have been down at the bottom of the league all season but seem to have found there form now as they have climbed off bottom and are second bottom
