Wolves enter this season's Carabao Cup competition this evening taking on Stoke City at Molineux. They will be hoping to build on the momentum created in the Premier League win at Bramhall Lane on Monday
In the absence of Europa League competition this season Coach Nuno Espirito Santo will resumably be hoping to chase glory in one of the two domestic cups, so he will undoubtedly take tonight's challenge very seriously - as he does all games. Stoke are plying their trade in the Championship these days and struggled to survive there last season. Their fortunes picked up a bit after the arrival of new manager Michael O'Neil last season, and they have started this season with a gaolless draw away to Millwall on Saturday.
Stoke can boast three former Wolves players in their ranks; Former club Captain Danny Batth and strikers Sam Vokes and Steven Fletcher. It's a pity no fans will be in the stadium to welcome these popular characters back to Molineux.
It can be reasonably expected that Nuno will make changes to tonight's team, starting at the back with John Ruddy getting a start in goal, and perhaps Oscar Buur and Vitinho - who made their debuts in the second half on Monday - will get a start. Connor Coady usually starts all games but the rest is all guesswork. I suspect Fabio Silva may make an appearance during the game but doubt that he will start.
Tonight's game is available through the Carabaocup.live for a fee of £10 otherwise it will a case of paying £2:50 to listen to the audio commentary or trying to find a stream. The fees alledgedly go to the two clubs.
Our referee will be PL Ref Simon Hooper
This site will probably pay for the official live stream and offer updates during the evening. Members are also encouraged to post their own opbservations for the benefot of those unable to follow the game

Good to see some of the youngsters getting an opportunity to show their worth, hoping that Shabani gets some game time too. All good experience and can only be helpful for the squad as the season progresses.
I decided to invest in the live broadcast of the game seeing as I haven’t been getting out much lately. Not an easy process to get through in truth, but now how a picture. They are still doing the Pre-match sound and light show even though there are no fans. I hope groundsMen are appreciating it, but it doesn’t look like it!!
Adama jiggles his way into their box and gets a shot away but it’s blocked, & half time whistle goes.
Carabaocup live coverage is pretty awful - just on camera join the stand and a poo4 commentator which isn’t particularly good value for £10!!
Our young lads have tried hard - Vitinha has fitted well into the midfield & Silva has put himself about up front, but nothing has really stuck yet. Think we’ll probably see DP or Neto before too long

seen a load of Wolves games for free, so having to pay a tenner for this is penance. Would be nice to see Fabio get a goal so early in his Wolves career. Only takes a moment of magic but magic has not appeared yet. Neto soon?
Second half underway but not much improvement obvious yet! Stoke launch an attacke and earn a corner off Saiss, - header taken by Ruddy & cleared to Silva who is taken out by McLean & he gets a yellow. Silva rolled around on the floor in typical European football manner like his leg was broken!!
Silly play by Vinagre gives possession to City and they earn a corner. The a another corner, but offside already occurred. Time is running out for both sides
Stoke seal it with a good break, Fletcher sets up Brown and he takes it easily
Wolves 0 Stoke 1
All over and another desperately disappointingly poor display in a Cup by Wolves. They showed absolutely no idea how to beat a very very average team like Stoke. A disappointing debut from Silva after all the excitement of his signing, but let's hope he improves against better opposition. Vitihna played well in midfield, but honestly with all the passing sideways and backwards it's no wonder we hardly had any shots on target. I was also disappointed that Oscar Buur didn't show more inclination to get forward like Doc used to.
A poor night, but at least I won't need to pay £10 again for a shite game this season!!!
Wolves 0 Stoke City 1
Yes I agree. Chance for fringe players but nothing more. Interesting that according to BBC Ruddy messed up again as he did against Shrewsbury last year. If we are to have a go in the FA Cup this year do we need a better 2nd keeper?
Hard to say , I dont watch him in the reserve games so maybe they are isolated but costly mistakes. I'm sure if Patricio was injured we could use the emergency window to get another keeper which to my understanding is the only one that can be used to sign keepers outside the normal window
