Smudger plays in friendly win

Former Gillingham captain Paul Smith could be on the verge of his third stint at Priestfield having played in the friendly win against Folkstone Invicta on Wednesday night. Smith did make a comeback to Priestfield last season in the two goals to one victory over Blackpool.

Meanwhile goals from a well taken Danny Spiller free kick and a Bas Savage (yes Bas Savage) goal sealed a two one victory over Folkstone.

However the four time winner of the Gillingham Player of the Year played one half for Gillingham tonight.
