Gillingham physio Mark Smith has revealed that midfielder Adam Miller should be fit for pre-season following surgery on his groin injury. Miller had struggled to complete a full game towards the end of the season, but held off having the operation to play through the pain barrier to help in The Gills' unsuccessful battle against the drop.
Speaking to KentNews, The Gills physio Paul Smith said: “It’s a common injury for footballers and he’ll be back in training within two weeks. The injury requires no specific training and players have been known to play competitively within three weeks of surgery.”
Miller underwent an operation to cure a groin injury, and surgeons reportedly used a new technique which cuts recovery times. Miller struggled towards the end of the season to complete a full game, but has now had his operation and is expected to return in time for pre-season.
Meanwhile, Barry Fuller is also expected to return from injury in time for pre-season, as is goalkeeper Simon Royce.pqs: qs:
