Blackpool offer Greening contract

Blackpool have offered a contract to veteran midfielder Johnathan Greening. The midfielder currently available on a fee transfer; having left Nottingham Forest in the summer is understood to have rejected a deal from Hartlepool United and his signing could be confirmed as early as today. The veteran has plenty of championship experience am has also played in the premier league. He most recently played for Colin Coopers side (Hartlepool) on trial against Middlesbrough, leading his former team mate to declare an interest in the player.
Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail, Cooper said "After the game on Wednesday he informed me that he’d had an offer from Blackpool,”
He added. “It’ll be very difficult for me to match what Blackpool can offer him. As much as I’d love to have him, he might be one that just slipped through the net. “
"But that’s football, that’s life. It doesn’t alter my relationship with him.”
Speaking on the former United Schoolboys talents he said “I’ve known Jonathan for a long time and he’s a very, very good footballer.”
