Wycombe Wanderers 0 Leeds United 1

A Luciano Becchio bullet from outside the box secured a third straight win for Simon Grayson's men - but it was definitely another case of winning ugly.
Newly promoted Wycombe Wanderers put up a very brave fight against the Mighty Whites in what was, no doubt, the one fixture they were looking out for when they secured promotion last May.
But - despite dominating play for long periods - they only tested new Leeds keeper Shane Higgs on a couple of occasions and the former Cheltenham stopper was more than equal to everything thrown at him.
Gradually Leeds' greater experience showed and Becchio's bullet from outside the box on 61 minutes made it three wins out of three. But it was definitely another 'ugly' win. While statistics will show we have won all 3 games and kept clean sheets in 2 of them.... the style in which we have done does not yet bode well for games against the better League One sides. Perhaps the uncertainty around Jermaine Beckford's future is a factor here, but whatever the cause, Simon Grayson is going to have to get much more coherent performances out of the lads if promotion is to be even thought about, never mind achieved.

First half was long ball stuff.
Think the wycombe players were fired up as they put a lot of energy into the first half so tired in the 2nd.
Not anywhere near the best LUFC perfomance but clearly SG knows how to give a half time talk!
