Compensation Delay for Leeds

Leeds United are going to have to wait until October at the earliest to discover how much compensation, if any, they should be awarded for the loss of two junior players to Manchester City.

George Swan and Louis Hutton both moved to City in the summer but Leeds turned down a compendation offer of £70,000 for the pair and it was referred to the Professional Football Compensation Committee by Leeds with a hearing expected this week.

Proceedings have been delayed though at the request of the Premier League after a member of staff fell ill and it is not thought they will reconvene until next month at the earliest.

With poaching of youth players a hot topic for debate at the moment, and following the ruling to award Leeds up to £1.5m for Luke Garbutt by Everton, Leeds will be hoping this hearing goes as much in their favour, when the meeting does eventually take place.

Hope the compensation fee will not be to much of a appearances related. I donīt think this players will ever play for City unless they get broke in the near future.
So it is better to get less now than nothing later.
About 300.000 for each player plus 50% sell on clause is something Leeds Utd. would be happy about I think.

Leeds deserve nothing for these players. They are only 14 and seeing low % players that make it at leeds they would have been another 2 wasted talents.
At least at man city they'll get decent coaching decent medical support and plenty of trips away, then even if they dont make it they will have enjoyed the ride.
Bates should put some cash into the academy then players would have good reason to stay.
BTW heard they have they got rid of Gary Chapman--great coach been there for about 13 years assisted bringing aarron lennon walton parker white delph through. Bet they only have one coach per age group now
