Schmeichel to depart

Leeds have accepted an undisclosed offer from Leicester for goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. The former Man City and Notts County player only has one more year left on his contract, and Leeds have decided to cash in.
A contract extension was discussed at the end of last season, and it appeared a deal was going to be difficult to agree. The 24 year old made 40 appearances for the Whites last year, and his departure would leave Leeds without a goalkeeper for next season. Last years back up Shane Higgs was released, and boss Simon Grayson will be searching for two keepers now. Jason Brown and Kieron Westwood are two names that have been linked….

Personally, I do not think SG is too unhappy with Kasper going.
The boy looked a liability at times last season. Afraid to catch a cross and unable to dominate his area.
Great shot stopper true but not the greatest keeper.Perhaps the surname helps with the hype and excitement.
If he was that good a Prem club would have swooped.
Hopefully the fee we receive will be closer to £2million!

shay given anyone? won't be playing for citeh. been injured, so could need a few months to help his recovery.

Kasper was a good goalkeeper and he can mature into a great one. He appears very unhappy at the way this was handled. It is indeed a strange way to handle it. I am sorry to see him go.
