Kisnorbo signs new deal

Leeds have confirmed that PAtrick Kisnorbo has signed a new 2 year contract. The popular centre back has missed the last 14 months with injury, but was player of the year the season before last
The signing is a big boost for Leeds boss Simon Grayson who has been frustrated in the transfer market so far - although a new signing (or two) is imminant. Kisnorbo signed from Leicester and he was badly missed last term as Leeds struggled at the back. A two year deal suggests his injury problems are behind him.

great stuff, thinking with a two year deal that it's an indication of his fitness level and he'll feature quite a bit this season....he will be like a new signing if he is anything close to his level prior to injury.

Dangerous signing IMO would have offered him a 6 month contract with a two year extension if he proved his fitness, As much as he is a fantastic player and i really hope he makes a full recovery Ive had to set up 3 fitness programs to help three 20 somethings try and come back from the same injury in the last few years.
One lad had to retire after a few months one was never the same player again and the other lad dropped back into Centre half so that he could play on, really tough injury to come back from and its only when hes back playing fully competative games will we know if hes recovered

There is no reason why he shouldn't make a very good return to first team football.
Achilles tendon injuries are common place nowadays and most players return to a very good standard. Kisnorbo will play a vital role this year. Not just in bolstering the defence but in the mentorship of Tom Lees.

Bats i'm sure the medical staff have fully checked his injury and the contract will cover both us and the player.

Not the one he had.Thack as far as i know it wasnt a tear it was a snap, if thats the case they have to cut the calf muscle in half all the way up the back of the leg until they find the other end of the achilles join the two ends back together and stich the legg back up. John Barnes did this and one leg is still a inch and a half shorter than the other
Someone help me here a leeds player did this before think it was Batty

one would like to think the medical staff did their job so he will not breakdown.
SG/Coaches should have done they job and assessed the player when he returned in preseason.
That being the case Kis getting a new 2 year deal should be welcomed.
If there were any doubts about fitness or reaching his previous standards then I would like to think a different deal would have been offered.

Good choice probes the best defender at leeds united we need some balls in the team because ATM the defence is shocking also NO ONE WILL EVER BEAT KISNORBO
