Leeds vMan Utd - preview

Leeds welcome Lancashire rivals Man Utd tonight in the Carling Cup.  Simon Grayson’s men will come up against the form team in the country, and, despite them resting several big names, Leeds will be extreme underdogs. 

Leeds could well freshen up the starting 11 tonight, with new signing Mika Vayrynen likely to start in midfield.  Other players pushing for a start are strikers Becchio and Forsell, winger Lloyd Sam and Michael Brown. 

The visitors will probably rest several of their usual starts, but will still find places for squad men like Owen, Berbatov and Giggs amongst others – players who would be first choice starters for most Premiership sides.

Leeds, of course, famously beat Man Utd in the FA Cup two seasons ago at Old Trafford – Jermaine Beckford getting  the winner that day – and Leeds fans will be eager for a repeat..
