Pre-Season Fixtures Announced!

Finally the football club have released some information and the fixtures for this summer's preseason schedule. There's plenty of excuses for weekends away, trips abroad and to drink lots of beer and who knows we may pick up a win and tan on the way!

Pre-season starts with the annual trip to take on Fleetwood Town. It's a strange game every year, sort of like fighting a younger brother, because 90% of the cod heads are Seasiders as well. But that a side it will be another sellout at Fleetwoods ground and another cracking welcome back to football.

Then it's off to LATVIA once again. A game will take place on the 14th of July against FC Daugava before another annual fixture against Skonto Riga, the day later.

Blackpool then go to there second foreign country on this seasons preseason campaign. As they travel to Wales to play Wrexham at the Racecourse ground. I think a big day out in Wales  is in order for this one!

The the Seasiders will travel to a third foreign country as they travel to Northern Ireland for a further two games. The teams we play though, have not been announced yet.

When the Seasiders return they will take on Tranmere Rovers for the final friendly on the 2nd of August. Although manager Simon Grayson is reported to be wanting to arrange another friendly for the 29th July at Bloomfield Road. It's hoped that the Seasiders can attract a premiership club for that friendly, the only one which will take place at Bloomfield Road.

So with trips to three foreign Countries this summer, we can finally claim to be going on a world tour! (tongue in cheek obviously!) For those wanting to travel to Latvia, Ireland or Wales, we'll have a few guides up next week, with helpful flight and hotel advise etc.
